Where Allegiance Is To The Constitution And The Country, Not To The President.

‘SOLDIER come, SOLDIER go, BUT countries REMAIN’, is a global saying that holds very TRUE in today’s Nigeria.

NOT very long ago, President Donal Trump and one of his Most Senior political appointees, got the shock of their life when seated US Generals kept a dead fan expression on their faces, without applauding or expression revulsion at the two ranking members of the administration. The generals neither uttered a word nor clapped during their Qantinco meeting with the US president, and the political appointee they call the president’s pastor-chief.

AND recently, the sacked Chief of the Pentagon’s Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), an agency said to be more important than the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) when it comes to military operations, a four (4) Star general, released a secret MEMO to the media that exposed TRUMP to have LIED to the US citizens about the SUPERPOWER’s supposed SUCCESS in its attack on IRAN.

THE memo released by the former DIA boss  ASSERTS that the attack by the US on IRAN only made a SUPERFICIAL dent on the Islamic country, CONTRARY to the BOASTFUL CLAIM of Donald Trump that “MISSION WAS SUCCESSFULLY ACCOMPLISHED”, when the US sent many F35s to attack Iran.

REVERSE the scenario as happening in Nigeria, and the generals would be falling over themselves to clap for every TRASH that the duo spewed out. Even outright INSULT, they would still clap.

THE officers (we do not have GENTLEMEN on these shores) conveniently forgot that their oath was to the constitution and country, NOT to the person occupying the office of the president.

IN Nigeria, as is the case in many Third World countries, the DISTINCTION between the president and the CONSTITUTION is often that between six and half a dozen. In other words, it is the same thing, going by the allure and power of the office plus the obsequious sycophancy of the ‘YES PEOPLE’.

ACCORDING to many of the ‘yes people’, the number one citizen, whether at the Federal level or the states level, ‘IS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN’, and these are the FALSE praises that the President or the Governor loves to hear all the time, over and above being told the TRUTH. UNFORTUNATELY, unknown to the ‘POWERFUL PEOPLE’, the loyalty of the ‘yes people’ is ALWAYS to their pockets.

TREE days ago, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu effected a quick change of the military leadership, DROPPING GENERAL CHRISTOPHER MUSA and REPLACING HIM with his FELLOW Yoruba, LIEUTENANT GENERAL OO OLUYEDE , for the alleged coup attempt in Nigeria, a NATION that has WITNESSED the MOST BARBARIC LAWLESSNESS.

NOT a few people asserted that the unexpected reshuffle in the military hierarchy was carried out by the president because of the alleged coup, which was quickly denied by the military itself. What is not CONTESTABLE however, is the PERVERSIVE poverty, hunger, CORRUPTION and INSECURITY in the country, at the moment.

IN the past two years, the federal government looked the other way while thousands of innocent citizens, MOSTLY MUSLIMS, were SLAUGHTERED, KILLED, and abducted for RANSOM. It was like happening to mare insects, for all the concern shown by the Tinubu regime.

SOME loyalists, especially the official and unofficial spokesmen of the regime, might Sophistrilly say that the president ONLY carried out ‘a routine exercise’ in the unexpected change of the military hierarchy in the country,

IF that were the case, then the whole DEFENCE architecture ought to have been replaced, with the two ministers, the National Security Adviser (NSA), and the other Service Chiefs GONE, NOT JUST the General Christopher Musa. General Musa ALONE cannot bring an end to the SPONSORED INSECURITY ravaging the Northern part of Nigeria.

SOME present and or former heads of federal ministries, parastatals and agencies, spend LAVISHLY, establishing ‘businesses’ for their children and grandchildren, from the LOOT they ‘made’ from the BLOOD of some poor souls, and from the Commonwealth, without considering the common person.

THE present run-away CORRUPTION is why the PENSION SCAM in Nigeria is at its MOST EXPLOITATIVE level ever. At a time when some people in government would superintend the callous murder of fellow citizens just to make money, eating pensioners money, some of whom have DIED without receiving a KOBO of their PENSION, is a child’s play to them.

May God make the Nigerian government be responsive, and responsible to the well being and welfare of the citizens of the country, like they do in developed nations around the globe.
